Capture-based air purifiers
Capture-based air purifiers do not work in real-time and are only effective against the contaminants that are captured and killed through a HEPA filter, carbon, or ultraviolet light.
These units, by design, are only partially effective at reducing some of the airborne pathogens and are not effective at treating pathogens on surfaces.
Other devices, such as bi-polar ionization, have questionable results as indicated by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

How Does It Work?
The key to its function is a proprietary blend of reactive metals added to the original titanium dioxide coating.
When exposed to ultraviolet light, these metals mix with the surrounding air and humidity to produce charged clusters of hydrogen and oxygen such as hydroperoxide modules (H2O2), hydroxyl ions(OH-), and superoxide ions (O2-), then released back into the room, where they seek and destroy the viruses and bacteria, regardless of their size, on surfaces and in the air.

The technology has been validated in numerous third-party case studies. In several tests, Kansas State University found that ten typical organisms were placed on a piece of stainless steel inside a test chamber and the ActivePure-RCI cell was turned on for 24 hours.
Test results showed a 24-hour reduction ranging from 96.4% to 100%. The University of Cincinnati however verified that it was able to reduce airborne particles from indoor air by up to 250 times over natural decay (gravity) and was able to inactivate approximately 90% of airborne microorganisms in less than 60 minutes.
Recently, ActivePure Technology was tested by independent FDA compliant-lab, MRIGlobal and proved their ability of reduction of live SARS-CoV-2 virus by 99.98% on surfaces.
